Sunrise Moonset

Denali, which means "The Great One" in the Athabaskan language, is the highest mountain in North America at 20,320 feet (6,194 meters) and can be
seen for 200 miles from any direction. However, one of the best views (seen here) is from the highway between Anchorage and Fairbanks. Here, the
Ruth Glacier flows from the eastern flank of the mountain, approaching to within a few miles of the road. This photo, taken at sunrise in early March,
captures the rosy alpenglow on the upper slopes while the lower reaches are still night-bound, and the full moon slowly sets behind craggy peaks.
